I’m learning that no matter how much you go over a set of blueprints there’s still a few surprises in there.

In this case, we need some bracing on the outside corners of the new arbor in the backyard. The 2×6′s here are just for illustration; the real one’s will be 6×6′s to match the vertical posts.

So should the braces start at the same height but be different angles? Or same angle but different sizes? Or should they simply start at different heights?

Or are there other options that I’m missing?
